Terms of Acceptable Use
Cloud Alliance Policies:
Terms of Acceptable Use
Cloud Alliance (CA) reserves the right to change and update this Policy at any time. Subscribers will be notified via e-mail of any changes that may affect the terms of their subscription.
CA strives to provide the best possible service to all our members, but we will not tolerate any unlawful activity or abuse on our wireless Internet network. We respect freedom of speech and expression, unless it is harmful to others. These brief guidelines are imposed to protect you, other CA subscribers, and us from such harm.
E-mail Policy:
CA may not be the source, intermediary, or destination address involved in the transmission of any unsolicited e-mail, e-mail bombs, hate e-mail, or any mass e-mail. Your e-mail account may not be referenced as originator, intermediary, or reply-to address of such e-mail.
Free CA e-mail account mailbox contents will be kept below 100 MB in total, unless previously arranged with CA technical support (Subscribers may purchase additional space). If your e-mail account becomes greater than 100 MB, CA reserves the right to move the e-mail to another server and delete it after 30 days. The owner of the e-mail account will be contacted, before we move the mail. If your mail has been moved please contact CA Tech Support by calling 802-253-6287 or toll free at 888-9EZ-CLOUD (888-939-2568) or by e-mailing support@ezcloud.com for instructions to correct the situation before the e-mails are deleted. This is unlikely for most accounts, since e-mail is typically accessed on a regular basis using an e-mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail.
CA accepts no responsibility for viruses that may be transmitted to you via e-mail, ftp, http or any other means of electronic transfer. Maintaining updated antivirus software is the subscriber’s responsibility.
Privacy Policy:
CA is committed to respecting the privacy of our members. The personal information you provide to us in order to set up your service and e-mail account(s) is used by us solely to provide you with access to the service and to facilitate accurate account billing. We do not sell our subscribing member lists or any member’s personal information to others, for any reason. Additionally, we do not monitor our subscribing members’ e-mail content or track their movements on the Internet.
We will do everything possible to protect your privacy and will not subject you to outside marketing. Information about CA service subscribers will be released only to the subscriber, to the appropriate CA employees, or to duly authorized officers of the state and federal courts, or investigating authorities who present the proper legal documents.
Spam Policy:
CA is committed to a zero-tolerance, anti-spamming policy. Under this policy, we prohibit spam, (i.e. any unsolicited mass, segmented, or individualized commercial e-mail) from being sent over (from or through) the CA network by our subscribers. We also prohibit the selling of products that can be used for spamming.
We react quickly and seriously to violations, and we further reserve the right to terminate CA Internet access, without prior notice, of any member disregarding this policy.
If you have any complaints or comments regarding spam on our network, please direct them via e-mail to
Account Ownership Policy:
CA is only responsible to the present owner of the e-mail and/or personal web space allocated to the account on CA servers. We verify ownership by asking for the account owner’s full name, address, e-mail address, username, and password. If you give this information to any other party or give access to your e-mail address or personal website on your account to another party, you risk having your web site and any other information on your account changed and/or deleted. We are not responsible for any information on your account should you reveal this information to another party who causes damage to your account and/or web site.
Content Policy:
All services provided by CA may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States Federal, State or City law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted or trademarked material, intellectual property, material we judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret and other statute without proper authorization. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CA from any claims resulting from the use of the service that damages the subscriber or any other party.
Pornography and sex-related links or merchandising is prohibited on all CA networks. This includes sites that may infer sexual content, or links to adult content elsewhere. CA will be the sole arbiter in determining violations of this provision.
Also prohibited are sites that promote illegal activity or present content that may be damaging to CA servers or any other server on the Internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited. Examples of unacceptable content or links are: pirated software, hacker programs or archives, and “Warez” sites. Any deliberate attempt to cause damage to CA or any other Internet servers will result in immediate account deactivation without prior notice. No refund is given in this case. CA will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.
Chat Policy:
CA does not allow its subscribers to host chat rooms. You can however link your site to a chat provider.
Sub-hosting Policy:
Sub-hosting (personal web-space for someone other than the account owner) is not allowed on CA servers. Web hosting services for commercial purposes may be obtained from any reputable web hosting service, or by contacting the CA office at (802) 253-6287 or toll free at (888) 9EZ-CLOUD.
Traffic Policy:
CA imposes very generous traffic limits that most sites never reach, unless the sites offer shareware, sound, video, image and multimedia archives, are mirror sites, or any site whose primary purpose is file distribution. CA members are discouraged from storing any files that cause excessive traffic on CA servers. Please contact the CA Technical Support team for more information. Again, most of the sites do not fall into this category and never reach our traffic limits.
We allow reasonable use of peer-to-peer traffic, but, in fairness to other subscribers on the network, prioritize it below most other uses when network activity is busy. We reserve the right to charge additional fees for sites that exceed our generous traffic limits. Sites that exceed their traffic limits will be suspended without prior notification, if they do not purchase add-on traffic packages.
